HayrideCOUNTRY ADVENTURES FIELD TRIPS

Come have a Country Adventure at our Blythewood petting farm.

Petting Farm Tour - focus on farm animals; available every month except October. Spring is a great time to visit the farm if you want your tour to focus on the animals!

Pumpkin Patch Tour - focus on the life cycle and growth of the pumpkin plant; available in October and November.

Our Petting Farm Tour is designed to be a unique educational experience. Your tour will start at the log barn where you will meet one of our carriage horses and pygmy goats. Your tour will continue to the barnyard area where you will see horses, miniature donkeys, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, turkeys, pigs and rabbits. Along the way, your host will answer questions about the different animals, how they are cared for, their role on the farm and their contributions to modern society. Your tour concludes with a fun tractor-drawn hayride around the farm. If you want to stay for lunch, you may bring a sack lunch. We will have tables and benches set up for your group if you have scheduled the eating area. Our tour lasts approximately 60-75 minutes; allow 1.5-2 hours if eating lunch.
